Presidents are Marching

A rather intimate gathering of the employees of a Conglomerate for a day of discussion and interaction with President and an interesting  Session with the CEO as well an industry that takes its Training and Development very seriously and hold a very special place for people development within its sphere.

We helped bringing this dynamism to the forefront by creating a setup within their premise, that was  worthy of a conference on a larger level. there by inculcating participation from both the audience and the presenter. the company holds a very dynamic mission statement and employee relation, its quite mesmerizing  and wanted to reiterate the same.
An Excerpt from the Mission Statement

Training and Management Development

At Nestlé, we strongly believe that it is our people who form the strength of the Company and that nothing can be achieved without their commitment and their energy.

Chairman and CEO -Nestlé Middle East
It was a Intimate setup for a whooping crowd of 500 team members that took part in a discussion, of the future and growth of the company at large, an interactive session and the no-bars held, discussion showcased the transparency of the company. It also induced morale among'st its team members. it was quite a genuine portrayal of integrity and candor a quality so rare in today's economy.

A Big Thank You to the Team who made this happen. Christopher, Sonny, Archie, Romario, Joel (t), Joel (s), Richard & Gerard and Team, for doing a phenomenal job twice in the same week! Special gratitude to Warehouse and operations for an immaculate prep of kit and gear in this busy time.

The Kings of Bank Street.

Premier annual financial markets conference in the Middle East region.
Guest of honuour H.E -Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan.

Global Financial Markets Forum 2014 held on the 4th-5th March had Lawrence H Summers, Former undersecretary for international affairs, Jean-Claude Trichet Economic Consultant and Bob Diamond Former group chief executive of the British Bank, Barclays Plc.  as eminent presenters for the Forum, the event provided delegates with the opportunity  to attend presentations from prominent corporate and financial entities in the West-East Corridor.

This is certainly one of my most complex show of this season, it proved to be a learning curve every step of the way this was my, on the job introduction to Anycast / Onsite Editing Suite / Converting Converging Digital Content / Live streaming, alongside the usual suspects Pandoras box, you name it we had it. If I could juggle one more element of technology into this event I think my control station was quite capable of broadcasting a sequence of man on the moon.

Conference held at the Emirates Palace Auditorium, was a playground for creativity, a large format screen 15mt x 4mt that spanned the length of the entire stage floated majestically 2mt high from the ground. the wide screen catered to a play area for pandoras box that mesmerized and captivated its audience. Audio was handled beautifully from front of house and Stage front to mick up speakers all on cue.

Being a prestigious event those would were not physically present at the venue and for those around the world would not miss much since the conference was streamed live in real time in the foyer and the live edited presentations were incorporated within its framework with the help of Anycast and HD content was digltalized down to an FLV format that was linked on the website for the world at large to view presentations, watch speakers, the world shrunk to witness a virtual conference right there on their desktop.

This event was proof that our new Digital Content Division was all geared and up in arms to take on previously incomprehensible events with ease of a seasoned veteran. To see technology grow exponentially in such a short time was both overwhelming & humbling at the same time. With Tom as the technical manager on this event curated a continuous learning platform every step of the way, where explanation was the catalyst for information I am in complete awe of the information gained and of my team who made this happen.

I am honoured to share the stage with the entire team that helped make this happen to name a few, Event technical planing Tom Walter / Content and Editing Anne, Efe / Vision and Pandora team Rainer, Renante n Micheal /Audio Team Joel, Edwin, Prince / Lights Dan, Terrance / Staging Richard, Lal, Silva, Ameen & Team / Camera Ivor & Team / Exhibition & Registration Christopher, Naveed, Iftikhar, Ajit.

Cheers to… CREW / Operations / Administration / Warehouse & Logistics
THANK YOU for making me proud.

Right on Target

It is a recent yet recurring trend with the hospitality industry, to host consecutive events,  selling space from one company to another in the same day it surly is twice the revenue to the venue but what does this result in? Well, it results in a rather tight squeeze, in setup time for the AV Production and staging team... not to mention rehearsals and execution of events!

This is what happened with the very recent event a 3 day Sales workshop at Hyatt Dubai The hotel had been double booked and that moved our setup time from earlier in the day to very late that evening, even though we got the short end of the straw did we prove our mettle?

With an access time of 18:00hrs and every crew had one eye on the clock and the other on the task at hand, while we were unfurling our kit in almost a jig saw fashion the client had both their eyes on the entire crew playing the only game that was possible at that moment in time 'wondering, waiting, watching.' the crew, sure took this in their stride and worked beautifully, the setup almost had a serenade of perfection that resounded within the walls of the room. Much to the clients delight, the team show ready for rehearsals at 21:30hrs... and we were Right On Target!!!  I couldn't have been any prouder of my team that at that moment; when I caught a glint of appreciation in the eye of the client and heard them appreciate the omph and punch from the sound kit they requested for from the beginning

With smooth flawless operations from Prince and Micheal this is what makes a happy crew and happy client, it is mutual appreciation and regards for both, that by far is the best way to bring an event to a close. The client was only too happy to pen down their satisfaction at the end of the event.

Hi Neomi,
Prince and Michael was awesome to work with.
-JJ

Hi Neomi,
Big thanks to you, Dion and your team. The setup/rehearsals and on event support were absolutely flawless, and it was a pleasure working with you on this project! :)

That being said it still is only half the story we would not have been able to achieve this perfection if we dint have the staging division to back us up Richard, Silva, Lal, in the wings to create a brilliant water tight backdrop, in off-white that bought an understated exquisiteness and life into a rather heavy room who's only decor was in the colours of beige & mahogany.

A big Thank You to Dion and operations for orchestrating a smooth transition and logistics for this event, thank you for making me proud.

International Education Show

The International Education Show held in Sharjah was almost a replication of the similar one ALMOE assisted at NAJA in Abu Dhabi. The show was similar in its content and aimed at a similar audience demographic of higher school & collage students.
The exhibition by large enamored several higher education institutions from all over the world, encompassing universities, colleges, business schools, medical schools, tertiary institutions, distance learning institutes.

The International Education Show (IES) has managed to carve a niche for itself in the highly competitive market giving it a sturdy platform to reach out to young minds opening new windows to the world of higher education.

It has prompted more and more global educational institutions to enter the region The Show was to take all young citizens it its grasp of nurturing information, enhancing exploration, and ALMOE was there in a small but sure way to assist.

A Huge Thank you to Nigel Fernandes who was my one man army midst of all this information, exploration, and buzz of activity. handled fort on all of the days and was instrumental in sorting out all technical issues flawless handling of all Kit an gear, thereby giving my clients adequate time to attract, assist and guide new students and probable fraternity members to their stand.

ALMOE gets a taste of Bollywood.

ALMOE assist The Organizers in rolling a glamorous Star Spangled Red Carpet for
Bollywood’s Top Stars!!!

The entire event setup taken in stride by my fantastic team who worked tirelessly, sleeplessly and endlessly, to give this star spangle troupe, an evening to remember.

Dubai was chosen as an ideal location to promote the world premiere launch of the film “Jai Ho”. The red carpet premier had to be just as glamorous as the star himself. Salman Khan is known to trigger mass hysteria during his public appearances. His star power can elevate euphoria, heighten emotions and leave fans screaming for more!
Walking alongside the star was his leading lady gorgeous Daisy Shah, and director Sohail Khan held at the Meydan  Imax. While the premiere was an invite’s-only event, a stage was set for the fans to get a better view of the actor in a true spirit and style of Dubai Film Festival.

Being The World Premier, what better way start celebratory facet? than in staggering phases with a press conference followed by Red Carpet to showcase what it really means for have charisma to overpower crowd with a few words, and a contradictory relaxed persona quite unlike the 'New Angry Young Man' a Character personified by Indian Cinema.
The glamorous Red Carpet had to do justice to the Star himself, with fans screaming from the aisles only to get an autograph or a photograph with the star, and the costars of the movie.
Meet and Greet with your favourite star!
The Cocktail lounge a meet and greet area with some of the chosen fans and invitees of the evening was illuminated in hues and washes  designed to give a very close and personal feel for the premier. The Imax with its Gigantic Screening was a larger than life experience of the movie and the star himself in that similar capacity.
With enthusiasm and the passion of the New Angry Young Man of Indian Cinema the guest streamed into the after party zone at the bubble lounge to let their hair down and shake a leg. ALMOE was there every step of the way bringing in a variation to every element of the party it only heightened with every passing moment until the wee hours of the morning…
A huge thank you to Joel(t), Edwin, Dan, Terrence, Rainer, Allan, Joseph, Rolly and David Brown orchestrating the technical aspect not to forget the silent heroes that worked  behind the scene that assisted the rest of the team that helped on this event.
Working 16hr straight to achieve this reality, and with an equivalent duration for the event agenda to unfold having said that; the De-rig duration was as stringent and short on time since the hotel was booked for another event for the afternoon... I Thank you for working super speed on both accounts and not tom mentions smooth transition from one mini event to another all in all a flawless handling of the show, Thank you for making me proud.

Property Heydays are here again!

With the boom in the real estate market, it has only resulted in multitude of property launches, which has been frequent and getting closer with each passing day.  Developers are weighing in on delivery of projects following a spate of high profile announcement. Demand drives this second phase of development to a host of new projects and buyers are returning to the market with confidence.

Reminiscent of the property heydays, more than 1,000 potential investors found themselves outside real estate developer office early hours of the morning, waiting for the sale to begin of the first phase of its latest project. On previous occasion the property developer offered Dubai villas on a first-come-first-serve basis, there was a near stampede outside its sales office.

How do you fit in alongside with this gigantic persona? encapsulate best of event production in a few words? I would recommend when it’s you or your company ends up being first on beck and call…

In today's world nothing says it better that how important you (your company) is if it’s not on accessible on a finger tip! That's how I assist a conglomerate that belongs to a real estate fraternity, Looking forward to a new year with many more projects to assist with.
