When Partners Matter.

In light of mega trends impacting organisations and the economy, General Partners Meeting in the Middle East aimed at discussing business strategy and plans to transform the region.

Almoe was tasked with the production and technical management of the event and ALMOE not only met the service standards, but exceeded our clients expectation!

The set consisted of an 18m x 3.5m backdrop which was up-lit and over the stage a magnificent 14mt wide screen created a dramatic impression suspended mid way of the vaulted ceiling of the at The St Regis

Lighting provided depth and feel by controlling the different layers back-lighting the main screen, uplighting the backdrop and also the ambient lighting for the whole room. Martin Audio Line Array system near the stage evenly distributed sound across the room, in unison with delayed point sources spaced at the back.

Content on the 14mt wide screen was manipulated and delivered through multi in / out Ascender switcher making this cue-filled heavy event a breeze to manage and operate. In addition to this, the camera operate and camera direction tied the whole event together bringing up a fusion of I-mag snapshots of presenter and audience on screen showcasing the interaction and participation of both parties at the conference and gala dinner.

Operations were tasked to ensure the prepping and logistics of kit were impeccable, and were delivered  to the crew on site in time, the onsite planning by the project manager ensured the setup was on time and showcased the perfection of a capable project manager and a well informed crew.

immense appreciation for the operations and warehouse crew Darrel, Savio, Cecil, Evelyn, Mike, Prince, Renante, Arun, Allan, Dulip, Terrance, Ivor, Pedro, Joao, the entire staging team and all that helped make this event a huge success, the client issued an instant appreciation to the crew on board.

Thank you all for making me proud.

And the Adventure Begins.

As degrees  conferred and academic caps tossed in the air, a feeling of accomplishment exhilarated through the atmosphere from both the graduating students and organisers of the magnificent event that let the students shine in splendour and glory.

Take a moment to bask in the sunshine a fantastically organised production team for executing a fantastic event.

Before we begin celebrating the day; lets take a step back in time and watch the race unfurl, the countdown began 15hours before doors could open, a round the clock build for the production team was mandate, with a load-in permitted only at 02:30am that very morning and doors open later that day at 17:00hrs!

Every team member knew we had to make every minute count. Everyone aligned themselves to work with the precision of an assembly team, the prior was dependable and the next tagged, calculation on all aspect was crucial to get everything done right.

Within moments the rigging team had the truss which formed the spine of the production built and hovered mid air, Claypaky movers and W8LM line array speakers were suspended along with a 12mt x 4mt custom screen floated off the truss two 20k Panasonic projectors created the blend.

On the ground, a team began to assemble ABSEN 3.9mm 12mt x 2mt LED wall, that lay just centimeters off from the screen above, meticulously it all began to come together and form shape, slightly off the main screen were 6 huge 3.9mm LED banners suspended that would play a big part for our digital content team.
It was time for the staging team to take the stage themselves. With this being amongst the end of season shows staging team took it upon themselves to showcase strength with a 12mt x 4mt custom stage, that had 8mt long step inset with LED strip lights I think the Staging team quite put themselves in the limelight. Digital content department began working with the client much a head of time coming up with endless storyboards, animation, revisions and final renders now it was time to see Pandora Quad Mapper regulate content over all aspects of media projection screen, led wall, LED Banners.

Thought it was a very difficult production schedule everybody worked with a purpose of creating a flawless event. I thank the Project Manager to streamlined and planned a well orchestrated schedule, operations, warehouse team complied with every technical requirement, all in all it was it was a race against time… and teamwork won!

I thank Tom Walter, Adrian, Joe, Rainer, Terrance, Dennis, who piloted their respective teams, Operations, Warehouse and the rest of the crew who worked round the clock to execute a fantastic production. Thank you for making me Proud.

ALMOE's 'VOW' factor

My Team shines yet again!

This time, at the Events Arena at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, we created the perfect ambiance for the most important day in a couple's life.

At the beach, we set up three different zones - Ladies, Men's and family areas. With 4m by 3m 7.8mm LED Walls and sound systems installed in each area, we ensured clear and sharp coverage was delivered throughout.

With our Panasonic P2 and the Sony BRC H900 robotic cameras, we made sure every important moment was captured in the greatest detail and not a heartbeat was missed.

Thundering across the venue were our Martin Audio W8LM audio systems, delivering on all manner of performances from DJ to orchestra, with two different bands in between.

Our lighting experts shot a riot of colours through the air with a mix of Clay Paky Super Sharpy, Alpha Spot and Alpha Wash, Studio Due, LED battens, controlled by the Grand MA2 Light.

It was an exhaustive 18hour schedule outdoors on the cusp of summer, we walked a tight line the crew were meticulous, in their set and action setting up of the mammoth 9mt ground support truss on the beach.

Strung with lights and from it dangled a huge floral arrangement. the lighting team had to programme while in broad daylight with calculation and the programming software as their only guideline.

with great pride I can say the crew shone like diamonds in the night. of course backed by many silent heroes, only a few of the show crew were lucky enough to witness their handy work.

The client and the guest showered the entire crew with praise and appreciation, for creating such a magnificent setup. it was great to have been a part of this glamorous event! To all the members of this team that were instrumental in making this happen. Adrian, Joel, Von, Nigel,Prince, Operations and Warehouse, Thank you for making me proud.
