I was looking for words to pen down to friends and family and nothing said it better than Ms Rice. (1900 – 1981) an American writer of inspirational poetry.

I have a list of folks I know, all written in a book

And every year when Christmas comes, I go and take a look,

And that is when I realize that these names are a part

Not of the book they are written in, but really of my heart

For each name stands for someone who has crossed my path sometime,

And in the meeting they've become the rhythm in each rhyme

And while it sounds fantastic for me to make this claim,

I really feel that I'm composed of each remembered name

And while you may not be aware of any special link

Just meeting you has changed my life a lot more than you think

For once I've met somebody, the years cannot erase

The memory of a pleasant word or of a friendly face

So never think my Christmas cards are just a mere routine

Of names upon a Christmas list, forgotten in between,

For when I send a Christmas card that is addressed to you,

It is because you're on the list that I'm indebted to

For I am but a total of the many folks I've met,

And you happen to be one of those I prefer not to forget

And whether I have known you for many years or few,

In some ways you have a part in shaping things I do

And every year when Christmas comes, I realize anew,

The best gifts life can offer is meeting folks like you.

And may the spirit of Christmas that forever endures

Leave its richest blessings in the hearts of you and yours.

Barrels and the Barons

The 2013 Oil and Gas Summit was among'st one of the best, with more than 200 attendees gathering to discuss the future of oil and gas in the GCC and the world at large.  UAE has become the meeting point for professionals in the region. Over the course of two days the conference bought together leading operators for meaningful discussion and idea sharing in the UAE.  OpEx 2013 was unique and highly topical, focusing on three key areas: People Assets & Technology, these were the main pillars on which a successful operational excellent strategy were based.  The speakers explained the basis of true excellence leads all the way to organisation and driving performance through technology in order to achieve overall improvement of efficiency.

The Conference took place on the 10^th – 11^th of December in the luxury surroundings of St Regis in Abu Dhabi. The conference has proved to be the essential meeting place for the Middle East Downstream Industry and an excellent platform to keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and key projects in this important region.

Our strategy was to support the people, culture and businesses with AV Technology that assist in flawless execution and operation for their conferences and exhibition. We are proud to be associated with this elite industry by working in partnership with organizer of the industry, we hope our relationships will grow together, to help them build up to the much anticipated next event as they see the gas industry developing in to a larger persona.

Highlight of the day was truly when the crew was appreciated by my clients for their clarity and the informative way of handling show not to forget perfection in their own appearance and flawless execution of the  presentations belonging to various presenters.

A Huge Thank you to Tom Walter with whose technical guidance this conference was executed, Joel (t) Edwin, Michael, Renante & Prince that formed the AV army that my event thrived on. Looking forward to my next elite conference.

ALMOE Celebrating Life!

Celebrating Life, organized by Pacific Ventures had renowned  “standup Comedian artist Nitin Mirani” who had the crowd either nibbling out of the palm of his hands, or giggling uncontrollably in their seats. Nitin shared the stage with a musical concert that saw some of India's best artists perform this Friday night.

Park Hyatt Deira, one of the hotels that has an amazing Façade and Palm garden for close knit gatherings and dinners. It's only natural, that the year's most popular sufi gathering was held here. 

India's Fusion Rocker Aavez Darbar a commendable name in Indo-fusion music, performed on the premises along with sibling Zahir Darbar a reputed Pianist in his own right; the Darbar Brothers along with their very own band called “Rooh”  have made a name for themselves as Bollywood fusions and sufi qawwals.

The evening had an invitee list of very discerning audience. The audience absorbed the performance; performing in front of a conventional yet modern architecture, ALMOE AV Productions at the controls created drama and ambiance and gave the venue a much added omph, to collaborate with the electrifying ecstasy that is called music"

Flying in artist from a city which has a rich cultural background, the sufi night was a way to convey that sufi is all about rhythm. ALMOE Technical crew were all from the Philippines, yet found no difficulty to bridge the gap between genre of the glorious renditions of the sufi qawwals and Fusion Bollywood's modern tunes.

Celebrating life was a gift from the pages of rich cultural history that we must share, with everyone young and old. I am happy to be part of this evening that has hit a chord with everyone and proud of a team that absorbed a cross cultural talent and showcased their mettle. With Joel (s) on lights and Joel (t) on Audio along with the strong support from Allan, Edwin and team. the evening was something to remember; and symphony they are unable to forget in a hurry.

ALMOE had an opportunity to be among leaders, in the industry of energy management that fuels the needs of millions in their everyday life on more than one accounts; Schneider Electric aimed to showcase their leadership in creating smart cities of the future today under the theme "Building Next Generation Mission Critical IT Infrastructure."  

"Power to the Cloud" Conference on the 25th and 26th of November showcased integrated smart city solutions in a stimulated Smart City environment. ALMOE assisted techno savvy apps and gadgets, Ipads/Apple TV's / Flat screen Displays to bring this to reality.

          

A couple of Large format 16:9 ratio screen at the Entrance gave the trade visitors a glimpse of what enigmatic sessions lay in wait for the duration of the next 2 days, along with corporate videos. The Conference emphasized on consumption v/s waste reduction and in turn highlighted Savings, not to mentions reduction in travel time and restricting traffic delays! that is music to ears, and a dream we all wish to come true considering today's life style. The conference generated a buzz among the attendees with lots to discuss for all of 2 days a generic count from the lead apps totaled to almost 1000 visitors!   

Getting this event together was a very strong, able and dedicated ALMOE team, that worked round the clock to setup 3 parallel conference rooms and the Smart City. Special thanks to Tom Walter for his flawless planing from start to finish and Rouslan and team for creating Ipad wizardry. We cannot forget the opportunity given to us by "Power to the Cloud" for paving the way to a more techno savvy face to a conference.

GITEX  UAE 2013 

It’s a show that just gets bigger and the hall space featuring the inspirational stand we worked on was no exception! In 2013 the stand was mainly a replication of the year prior with a few changes and additions UAE Telecom Authority relied on ALMOE’s vast experience in AV competency at the industry’s leading Technology and Gulfcom event – GITEX UAE 2013. Helping to create a prominent position, with a wide seamless screen adorning the state alongside multiple pods or open cubicles addressed to individual identities of the networking infrastructure meeting rooms, created a welcoming presence for visitors to meet and greet senior personnel’s from the industry. 

A full turnkey solutions was pre-show cabling, installing of 5x5 media wall along with 77 individual screens and laptops along with meeting rooms and majlis added to the mix to assist the vast number of delegates from the Ministry of Finance, Justice, totaling up to 12 different authorities. The participation of federal government entities in GITEX aimed at introducing e-Services provided by these entities in order to increase adoption of services, and enhance communication and interaction between the departments of the federal government.

its conscious effort was to showcase the upgrades offered my various identities to a techno savvy user of its application available and formulated to interface with every smart and android device, to enable us to stay in constant connectivity with facilities that make living comfortable, not to forget the core purposes of being connected to the world at large.   

Exhaustive hours of planning, demos and finally practical execution lead to a flawless activation on the stand. Modern day devises like Iphones and IPads were the source feed with presentations, images, movies that were linked to Screens as large as a seamless wall of 5mt x 2.5mt! For the 4 days of the exhibition ALMOE made its presence known by keeping a watchful eye on the stand making sure every gadget, device, connection functioned as it was conceived to be. What s a fantastic way to start off an exhilarating event season for 2013, ALMOE hopes to be part of all and many more events in the future.    

ALMOE Goes VOGUE!

Finally!!! Dubai Fashion Week is here!

Saturday was one of those evenings that rolls around once every couple of months when social planning takes a celestial turn and two events end up scheduled on the same night! 2 section of Dubai Mall were jeweled with 216 Seamless screens. A month long discussion and preparations warranted accuracy, and performance perfection.

Priority of this event required, an eye on the clock, and the other on clockwork symphony of an ever supporting team that would result in smiles from satisfied clients, It was fantastic to have had perfect collaboration on all grounds. Working with Emaar on this project and being introduced to the team members of Vogue Italy was truly surreal. Its true they say work takes you places... our yellow brick road led us to "Vogue".

Waterfall Atrium  136 Seamless screens formed 4 Large  back to back walls and a media table created a digital museum showcasing the designers, their success stories; capturing the interest of the fashionista of Dubai, bringing them closer to the life and work of their favourite designers. It was quite educating to find out how inspiration cocoons itself in the smallest of instances, and personifies itself in larger than life art form.  

Souq Atrium Created 4 walls for "Vogue Cover" Photo-boot, being able to have your image on "The Cover of VOGUE!" the concept alone intrigued throngs of people towards the booth, the audience that gravitated to the booth generated a buzz of activity and participation. 

216 Seamless Screens From the minute go this event was a race against time, the exactitude and efficiency with which it was achieved was most certainly a first for ALMOE! In no more than 8 hours the crew managed to setup and connect 200 screens, the following night spent calibrating, alignment, and colour balancing, and ofcourse setting of of 16 screens, the entire team worked readily and tirelessly, with the perfection of assembly line arrangement, leading to the finish product. the Crew accomplished the setup with an additional day to spare before handover!

Now that the setup is over and we can all take a long-awaited nap! But only until Sunday, then we hit the pavement to De-rig with military precision all over again.

A BIG THANK YOU to Bruno, who technically planned the project with me Tom R, Adeel, Michael, Renante, Joel, Zayed, Shafaqat, Yassir, Sohail and team for your sleepless nights, Glen, Dion and ALMOE Operations for your undivided attention and support that made this event a success, that defied all possibilities. Thank you for making me proud!

Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, attended the graduation  cerrmony and gave certificates to 90 graduates from 8 academic programmes.

It has to be all about location. 

Talk about an after party... that has to be on an island beach-front, that is considered to be one among'st one of the most elite strip of real estate... "The Palm Island!  

Setup was dramatic! Dubai drenched in a freak thunder storm a day prior to the event. which stalled the smooth planned operation. Delay set us back by 24 hours and commenced during the early hours of the next day on the lawn garden of Rixos on the Island a gigantic rig that towered 7mt high to support a large outdoor screen with 2 panels of LED Curtian of 12mm Sound and lights to enhance effect. 

Set for completion and action on the very same day! was taxing enough, the crew had to work on brake neck speed to have the rig up and ready by 15:00hrs and the rehearsals were under way at 16:00hrs the gala-dinner was well all underway in record time!

This is exactly what the entire team did in the past few days. I gratuitously applaud and appreciated their patience and support in working on a very difficult event, the weather truly tested our abilities, sanity, patience, and cooperation. 

There is no one magic moment, that helped us pull through this rather difficult day that lay ahead of us;  but lots of little things that we added together!!! The help we gave and got from each and every one of us, team members. The light heart'ed jokes and humor, edge us on, like cool breeze on a hot summer day. All this came together to achieve our supper lightning speed, and success of the event, this makes each and every one of YOU victorious!!!

  

My unfailing appreciation to Tom Walter, who captained from a damp start and excelled it to a glorious finish with an ACE team Rainer, Joseph, Roli, Renante, Joel (S) Joel (T) Silva, and all the rest of the crew members, not forgetting,

Ruffles & Bows dressed for success

Wedding are a very special occasion, the meeting of minds and ideas and the fact that this is their very first project together as one team! and preparation  is the only path they can take; with success drawn on the finish lines. 

Every Groom and bride-to-be knows about all the excitement of planning a wedding. everything has to be done in a proper manner, money and effort to have the perfect wedding day. 

Preparation can take months. Depending on how large the wedding will be, planning any wedding and reception can be overwhelming. Some of the most important things are decorations, food caterers, locale and the Sound and lighting effect for the bride and groom. No matter what, it just has to be done right.

 It was a beautiful experience getting in to the venue to work with the Event manager to bring an idea and concept to life just as envisioned and translated to the bride and groom. Every bride knows there isn't any duplicate wedding. Each is 'Unique'. 

Planning the wedding can be fun, especially if there is a team of talented and technical people to assist Brides-to-be and their husbands-to-be with ideas to help them plan their special day. A few images of the lighting effect we assisted this event planner to make this celebratory occasion even more beautiful, and the bride & Groom a  gorgeous Happy Couple.
